I'm a Brazilian who dreamed and endeavored into the Old Continent, and after completely falling in love with all English things, most importantly -the English language, it has become a part of me. I spent 12 adventurous years in London, a few in New York, and back to Brazil, decided to work with both languages after realizing that indeed there's a lot lost in translation.
My credentials include a Cambridge Advanced English diploma, a BA in journalism from Brazil, a CIM postgraduate diploma in Marketing, a Creative Writing diploma from England, and a Digital Marketing diploma from NYU, New York. I built a 15 year old career in Marketing, PR and Communications, where creativity has been essential to transmit the accurate message to specific campaigns. I've written, edited and translated all sorts of business materials, and campaign localizations for high-profile brands such as the beauty brand Dove (Unilever), ad campaigns, press releases, audio transcription, and documentary subtitling, as well as interpreting jobs for celebrities such as Ozzy Osbourne.
I'm absolutely passionate about languages and tired of coming across mistranslated words and idioms, I'm endeavoring to contribute to the literary market.
My experience with foreign cultures, slangs, idioms, and dialects give me a vantage point when interpreting the author's exact intention behind every word.
My aim is therefore to contribute to more accurate translations, giving the Brazilian audience the opportunity to capture the exact feelings authors’ carefully tried to express through their choice of words.
