Shar Lemond is a self-taught author. She took a couple of courses, read a ton of books, and has enjoyed analyzing what she likes and dislikes about them. She wrote some short stories and a couple of screenplays. She taught grammar and sentence diagramming. Her desire as an author is to illustrate the consequences of our choices and to bring across a serious message in a fun way. She lived in Rio for a few years and some of the situations in book one are inspired by true events. She speaks Portuguese, but feels she needs a native to translate her book into Portuguese. She would love to see Travel Secrets translated into Spanish, French, Hebrew, and more!
Other than writing, she homeschools her son and takes part in her husband's history lectures. She works at the farmers' market selling grass-fed meats. She learned hotel management, worked as a fine-dining waitress and bartender, and took a sommelier course. She loves dancing, opera, fine art, and old movies. She once won a Texas-Hold-em tournament.
