SUMMARY
I am a multi-skilled, reliable and talented creative translator with proven high quality results. I am a quick learner and am not afraid of challenges, in any form or manner, be it new projects, new software or new teams.

Born in England to British parents, I was raised in Ibiza (Spain) from the early age of 3. I am an extremely outgoing, friendly, intuitive and inquisitive person and have acquired huge amounts of experience in Spanish and English language and culture over the years. 

I produce high quality translations which I always proofread and perform QA checks on. I believe that great quality should not have high prices and have always believed in the philosophy of preferring to sell 100 items at 1€ than 1 item at 100€.

I am an avid reader in my three languages and am mostly interested in translating fiction, marketing texts and articles medical journals, though will consider any offers that come along which pique mi curiosity.

I have worked for lawyers, doctors, pharmacists, engineers, tourism and hotel chains as well as an ever-increasing number of clients from all walks of life.

I have excellent people skills and have worked individually and in teams, both as a team member and as a team leader.

Since I grew up in Spain within an English family, I am proficient in all three languages I speak (Spanish, English & Catalan) as well as having a deep knowledge of the cultural and social aspects related to all three languages.

I started teaching Spanish, English, IT skills and Communication skills over 10 years ago, which has given me ample experience in communication, marketing and sales, and has allowed me to gain extensive knowledge about many different fields; I would highlight Medical, Marketing, Tourism and Teaching, as they are the fields I have mostly worked with, both as a teacher and as a translator.

I have studied Nursing, Pedagogy and English Language and Literature, holding degrees in all three fields.

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS
- Translated ‘The Fourth Awakening’, a 400 page novel by bestselling author Rod Pennington, into Spanish. It is currently a worldwide bestseller on Amazon.com as "El Cuarto Despertar".

- Managed a highly successful language school for two years, taking gross monthly earnings from 6000€ to 18000€ in under six months The school was subsequently sold for 180.000€ and I moved on to open my own language consultancy firm where, at peak size, employed 25 language professionals, working with clients such as Porsche, Telefonica, CEPSA, REPSOL, Iberostar, Orizonia, TUI, HotelBeds or Barceló Hotels and Resorts.
