Graduated in Letters Translation - English at the University of Brasilia (Brazil) in 1991. Master in Translation Studies and Doctorate in Applied Linguistics. I translate from English into Portuguese mainly on health, medicine, anthropology, linguistics, environment, and health, but I also like to take some jobs in other areas. I worked as Terminologist at the Brazilian Ministry of Health almost t 10 years, where I developed 13 glossaries (in Portuguese) on several subjects related to health, some of which have the terms also in English and Spanish. See glossaries at http://bvsms.saude.gov.br/bvs/publicacoes. My master´s degree (Da tradução terminológica em glossário temático na área de saúde suplementar - On the Terminological Translation in a Thematic Glossary on Private Health Insurance and Plans) is on Terminology and was based on one of these glossaries. It can be reached at http://repositorio.unb.br/bitstream/10482/14645/1/2013_SatiaMarini.pdf. I work as a professor at the University of Brasilia where I teach Translation English Portuguese - General Texts, Translation English-Portuguese - Technical-Scientific Texts, Academic and Official Writing (Labotarótio de Textos II) and Critical Reading for Translation Texts. I lived in Canada for six months and in Germany for two years. I have a doctorare in Linguistics also with focus on Terminonlogy. I also speak German and some Spanish and Italian, but do not translate from these languages.
