Briefly: Living in Berlin/Germany and Carinthia/Austria, I'm a German native who's been working as an English and German teacher and freelance translator (English/German) since about 1999, full-time since 2009. Mainly, I deal with legal, technical, and medical documents for agency clients in various countries. However, I have translated a few books and booklets, most of which were non-fiction (usually popular science in the sectors of biology, zoology, and pharmacy).
I do speak a little Afrikaans and a little Italian, it is, tough, definitely not enough for translating into or from these languages. Another service I offer is proofreading/editing in German.
