I'm a 34 year old portuguese native. I was born in Portugal, I always had a passion for english language and tried my best to learn it. When I got in middle school french was the only foreign language available, so I had to learn french, wich I later had the opportunity to practice with my french born cousins. But english was still my passion, so I tried and looked for ways to learn more and practice my english, knowing that I would only be satisfied when I would be able to speak and understand english like a native.
I did my best while studying, and had the luck to have a South Africa native as my best friend. Hearing her and her mother speaking in english was essential to better understand spoken english. Later in my life I got the oppurtunity to study english more seriously. I went to Wall Street Institute and did almost all levels. Then one teacher suggested that I should do the Proficiency exam, wich I did and passed at the first attempt.
I was never able to find a job teaching english as usually language licenced teachers are prefered, but in order not to forget the language, I tried to contiunue to be in contact with the language, so I gave english tutoring to students with dificulties and made some translations ponctually.
Now I'm unemployed and with a lot of free time, and I would like to work in something that I really appreciate and that I do without a great effort. Thank you!
