I graduated in Economics in 2004 (dipl. oec.) in Bologna, Italy, specialized in banking, finance and sport management. I worked as financial consultant until 2006 when I moved to Croatia where I settle down and started working as Italian teacher for adults. Later I developped my sport (finswimming, I am a former Italian national team member and a finsiwmming coach) into a small business, which later developped into 2 small clubs I'm hired for as a coach and sport manager. Lately I gained expertise as applicant for EU calls for tender (namely Erasmus+ Sport). Since 2007 in Croatia I've been working as translator: mostly working for an agency, among bigger works there are Gluu.me social network, a 160-pages turistic guide about Dubrovnik, the desciption of the items at the Museum of Broken Relationships in Zagreb.
I like reading and writing, poetry as well (I usually publish on poetichouse.com): recently I translated in Italian a poem of Ruđer Bošković in Italian in the frame of a book presenting his life as a diplomatic agent. Other current projects are the rendering and editing of an essay about money circulation from English to Croatian, using also Italian documents and material, in collaboration with the Economics team of a new political party in Croatia.
Attention to each detail on one side and pleasure in reading on the other one are my leading features in translating. I may work under pressure and meet deadlines, though obviously I may give my best when I have time and room for seeking the right words for each sentence.
