As an electronic technician, which is my actual job, and an electronic engineering student, I am very used to English (I like to say that it is quite like my second native language), since I do researches in many articles and manuals, most of them written in English. In the other hand, I have to write reports and manuals too, these ones written in Portuguese (often praised by those who read them). But, in one way or another, I have to write a very correct Portuguese. Since it is an official document about a product, whoever is reading has to understand exactly what this product does.
Anyway. English has been present in my life since I was very young. I went to my first English class when I was 10 and, even before that, I have always been very curious about the language, asking my parents "How can I say 'this' in English? And 'that'?". Lucky them (or not) that we had had an English-Portuguese dictionary at home by that time.
When my English teacher had told me about Babelcube, I have got very interested in the experience of working as a freelance translator and decided to try it. And why not? This way I can improve my English while I offer you a very good translation of your (beloved) book.
