Translation is an art...
What sets human-made translations apart from machine-rendered ones?
As you surely know, translating is not simply taking a work apart and spitting it out word-for-word into a target language. Careful attention must be paid not only to the aspects of spelling and grammar, but also in the interpretation of a writer's expressions and idioms to fit the audience's culture and understanding.
I enjoy creative writing in my free time, as well, so I know what it is like to search for the perfect phrase in another language to convey "that special meaning" in the original tongue.
I am a native speaker of both American English and the Spanish of Latin America.
Looking to build my portfolio.
