Registration of trust is a formal exercise where a trust deed is registered to the relevant authorities which is usually the Registrar of Trusts or other government officers. This makes the intentions of the trust legal, enforceable and transparent. Registration gives evidence of the existence of the trust the terms of the trusts and beneficiaries thus safeguarding the interests of parties involved. It also assists in avoiding conflict and also makes sure that the legal requirements are met on trusts.
