Paul Clarke (author)

Hi I hope that you are having a great day.

Paul clarke

My name is Paul Clarke, born 6/7/66 on Tyneside in the UK.

I have had a varied life. I have worked as a carer, shop assistant, on building sites, cold storage cleaner, and have been a voluntary worker helping people with disabilities. Six yeears ago I became an office manager, and then self-employed. I have City & Guilds in accountancy, office management and in communications.  And I am now a qualified life coach.

Many of my best accomplishments came when I reached forty. Until then my shyness and lack of confidence had held me back. I had searched, studied many self-help books on confidence building, self-esteem etc. only to discover many did not help me at all. They all appeared too interested in giving examples of how they helped famous clients rather than filling their books with actual help. I felt lost, very depressed and contemplated suicide until I for the most part worked out for myself what it was that I was doing. And that was comparison thinking, mind-reading (guessing), believing what had happened in the past meant something about my future and trying to see into the future. And as soon as I discovered that those were the only reasons why I felt the way that I did, I changed very easily almost overnight from a very shy guy to a very happy positive thinking one. And that is why I wish to help people with my books. Because I know what lack of self-belief does in life. It can stop you getting employment, making friends, relationships, it can make you feel like you are in prison. And that is my motivation and why I wish to try and give actual help that perhaps the reader has not discovered from reading other books. I have three main self-help books,” Beat Shyness”, “Living Happy and at Peace”,and “2016 Book of Self-Confidence and Motivation.”

I have also published a fictional ebook “No More Heroes” under the name T Ragon on Amazon and Kobo. This too is a big accomplishment as I have always wanted to write fiction and over many years have submitted my work to agents that always replied that my stories were good but my grammar and spelling were not. In took many years to get it right before I went on to pass my English and Grammar exams.

I’m a collector of antiques, I enjoy family activities, music, walking and reading. My favourite book is Bruce Reynolds The Autobiography of a Thief: The Man Behind the Great Train Robbery.
