P.M. Prior writes suspense thrillers, crime fiction and horror. She is a former research academic who plummeted (or jumped/escaped) from the ivory tower. In a previous life, she taught applied criminology and advanced statistics courses at the University of Cambridge (UK) and crime science courses at the University College London. While at Cambridge, one of her nicknames was "Econometrica" because she was such a statistics geek. She also has practitioner experience in the criminal justice system, having worked in a supervisory position in the Kansas Department of Corrections.
Her chief writing influences are Gillian Flynn, Thomas Harris, Stephen King and D.P. Prior.
She has a PhD in Criminal Justice but can't decide if the letters stand for "Pizza Hut Delivery" or "Piled Higher and Deeper."
She hopes you enjoy her writing.
