I am a native English speaker based in Melbourne, Australia, with an advanced level in Italian. I am happy to translate books from Italian to English or vice versa, and am specifically interested in literary texts.

I am an undergraduate student at Monash University, Australia, completing a Bachelor of Arts with a "double major" (or two principal areas of study) in Italian and English Literature, as well as a Diploma in Languages, again in Italian. I have been learning Italian since 2007, and by now have reached an extremely high level in it. I am familiar with many aspects of Italian culture, particularly Italian literature. For example, I have read many books in the original Italian, including Dante's Divina Commedia, Petrarch's Rime, various historical works, the poetry of Foscolo, and several works of Italo Calvino, among many others. I am specifically interested in literary translation, and feel that I possess excellent writing skills, and a very good grasp of the nuances of language in literary texts, whether they be in Italian or English.

I find the translation process highly invigorating and engrossing, and would work conscientiously in any given task.

I am very flexible in terms of time, as I am currently studying part-time and am unemployed.
