Hello ! My name is Nora Lo Manto. I'm 23 years old and I have a Master’s degree in specialized translation in an English and Spanish intercultural context at the Faculty of Translation and Interpretation of Mons (FTI-EII).

I was born on the 26th of August in 1997 and since I was twelve, I knew I wanted to work in the field of languages. Then, when I was sixteen, I discovered that I wanted to become a translator. Therefore, I enrolled at the Faculty of Translation and Interpretation of the University of Mons in 2015. I graduated in 2020, but I didn't know what to do next since I knew I didn't want to work in the field of legal translation or for the European Commission, etc. However, during my last year at university, I had to translate a book for my Master thesis. Surprisingly, I loved it and this was the trigger I have been waiting for. I want to translate books and work in the literary field. Nonetheless, as I didn't know how it worked exactly, I decided to do an extra year to become a teacher in English and Spanish in high schools since it's another passion of mine.

After discussing with a friend of mine who also started here, I decided to go for it and give it a shot so that I gain experience. I hope one day to have the honour to work for a publishing house. 

I'm passionate, motivated and miticulous. I always try my best to deliver quality work. Therefore, don't hesitate to contact me and to entrust me with the translation of your book.
