Ned Hayes is the author of the best-selling historical novel SINFUL FOLK, set in the 14th century. He is also the author of the national bestseller THE EAGLE TREE and COEUR D'ALENE WATERS, a noir mystery set in the Pacific Northwest.
THE EAGLE TREE was nominated for the National Book Award, the ALA Book Award and many other honors and was a global bestseller both in English and in Chinese.
Ned Hayes holds an MFA from the Rainier Writing Workshop, and has done graduate work in English and Theology at Western Washington University, Luther Seminary, and Seattle University.
Born in China, he grew up bi-lingually, speaking both Mandarin and English. He now lives in Portland, Oregon.
