Reading, learning and translating, best job ever.

In addition, I'll be paid to finally get my masters degree. Guess life couldn't be sweeter. 

Graduate musician, professor at a Music Business College, an avid reader since age 5 and a bibliophile with a very wide book collection.

 

I love Jane Austin's books, B. Traven's novels and Hermann Hesse's "Demian" along with "Klingsor's last summer" have become my favorite and life-changing readings.

Well, it says here I have up to four thousand character to write my bio, and still can't think wich of all the things that had happen to me during the course of my life you could possibly find that interesting to keep reading. Still, I'll make an effort to interest you.

Born and raised in Guadalajara, the second most importat city in México, I've lived my entire life in the same house with my familly. The plan, to eventually (when my financial conditions are right) go abroad to study and get a masters in Jazz Music, probably in performing or (not so sure of it) composing. I'm beginnig my own path as a songwriter, which is a very exciting task and a very cathartic activity. 

To me, reading and learning about history is one of the most relevants things humanity can and should do. My name (Minerva) being the one of an ancient deity and the roman version of Athena, the goddess of wisdom and arts, made me love and feel a very deep interest in the mythology of ancient cultures, more particularly from ancient Greece and Rome, but also India, China, Japan and, of course, México. But also of their past, the history revolving their culture, traditions and ways.

I'm currently learning japanese (or at least trying) and the fact is that it has been a delight to get to know more about their history and culture throughout their language, the evolution and adaptation they had to achieve to develop a very unique writing system, and everything in between that process.

With nothing further to say for now, this is just a little of me, of the things I love, who I am and the person I want to become.
