I've always had a passion for languages. As a child I used to sing songs which were not in my native language. Or at least I pretended to. I was persuaded that, if I trained long enough, somehow sometimes I would have guessed some real word with a real meaning.
Eventually, english was introduced as a subject in my school when I was in fourth grad (I live in a small village and we were not so up to date with the globalising world). it immediately became my favourite subject (actually, after my native language - which is italian, if you're interested!)
Somewhere around that time, I decided I had to study as many languages I could, which is the reason why i chose Languages in high school and then communication at college (where I even studied japanese). So far I have, at very different levels, some knowledge of english, french, german, spanish and japanese!
Later in school I extended my interests to political issues and international relations but languages and literature remain my first love!
I'm really looking forward to take some russian lessons one of this days, I don't want growing up prevent me from studying what I love!!

| Author review: I had the pleasure of working with Melissa on the translation of my book Noise & Sound Reflections. She is a conscientious and precise translator whom I highly recommend, | |||
