I was born in the city of San Salvador (El Salvador) on April 27, 1993.
I finished high school in 2010; From that moment and thanks to a scholarship they granted me, I began to study the English language through a free course taught by a private university in my country, which I could not complete due to internal logistics problems of the university that taught it. But it helped me enormously to learn the basics of the language and continue studying it on my own.
In 2012, I began my professional studies in Telecommunications Engineering, but due to individual and family financial problems I have not been able to finish it until now, although I have already studied and passed 23 of the 47 subjects that make up the study plan of the degree. However and trying to grow professionally, in 2016 I started a technical career in Computer Science that I managed to finish in 2018.
Regarding my experiences directly related to the English language, in 2015 and as part of my university social service, I participated as an oral interpreter in the 55th edition of the International Congress of Americanists, specifically contributing to the daily communication of congress attendees who did not speak Spanish but they did speak English.
Also, in that same year I participated as a teacher of basic English in the Municipal Mayor of Soyapango, a city in El Salvador; The main objective of the classes was that the children from 10 to 12 years old knew the basics of English grammar: pronouns, nouns, auxiliary and main verbs, conjugations, and so on.
And finally, in 2017 I provided my professional written translator services to a person residing in the United States who was married to a Salvadoran gentleman and wanted to carry out immigration procedures at the American Embassy in El Salvador; The services I provided consisted of translating from Spanish to English all the legal documents requested by the embassy authorities to carry out the process. The embassy authorities approved the translation of all the documents I translated.

Author review: Mauricio is a great guy to work with - and his work is superb! He paid attention to the content of the book, translating "as is" with emphasis on the subtle differences on how to "Express things in different languages" as it were ... and, he kept the formatting etc exactly as it was -which is what I wanted. Great work - thank you - and I highly recommend him! - Mike Watson |
