My name is Marina de Almeida Ernst and I come from from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I speak Portuguese, English, Spanish, German and French and translate from English and German into Brazilian Portuguese.
I hold a bachelor's degree in German Language and Literature from the Universidade Federal Fluminense in Brazil. At the University of Heidelberg in Germany, I studied three years English Philology and Political Sciences and finished the Master course in Translation Studies in 2017.
I now live in Germany with my husband and 2 children and am willing to intensify my translation activities. I worked in the translation of Christa Wolf's August into Portuguese in collaboration with my friend, M.A. Fernando Miranda. I also collaborated to the copy desk of his translation of Joseph v. Eichendorff's Aus dem Leben eines Taugenichts.
Feel free to contact me if you're interested in translating your English and German originals into Brazilian Portuguese.

Author review: I was very happy with the cooperation wit Marina. It was always easy to communicate with her. She helped in every way possible. I didn't have the whole translation checked, because after I got good feedback on the translation of the first parts, I trusted that everything would be fine. |
