I studied Translation and Interpreting at the University of Valladolid, Spain, and graduated in 2012. During my studies I specialized in literary texts, although I have mostly worked on technical texts due to the needs of my clients.
I am a very passionate reader and when I deal with texts in other languages I always try to compare the source and target texts. As a reader, I admire those books which don't appear to be translations from a source text, as that means that there has been great work involved. My goal in life is to help writers convey their message and be able to achieve the level of expertise of great translators.
So far, I have worked as a translator for a music magazine called "La(dos)", based in Valladolid; the Laboratory of Architectural Photogrammetry of the University of Valladolid; Dubai Legal Translations, based in Dubai, UAE; and have also volunteered as a translator in "Globalvoices.org".
I am conscious that I have a great career ahead and would very much appreciate to work with any artist who is willing to publish his/her work in Spanish.
