I am a Spanish native speaker and soon-to-be graduate in a double degree in Translation & Interpreting and Tourism at the University of Córdoba (Spain). My academic background has equipped me with a strong command of English and German (both at a certified C1 level), as well as intermediate French, and a deep understanding of cross-cultural nuances—an essential asset in literary translation. I have also recently acquired a certificate for the completion of a 120-hour course on the translation of fiction and non-fiction at Trágora Formación, a professional training school.
In addition to my academic training, I have gained international experience through extended stays studying in the United States and Germany, and working in Ireland. These experiences have strengthened my sensitivity to tone, register, and cultural subtext, all of which are crucial when adapting literature for new audiences.
I have also volunteered with Translators without Borders (TWB) and UN Volunteers, where I translated English content into Spanish, and with TED Translators, where I translate from German into Spanish. This has not only honed my skills in clarity and accuracy but also reaffirmed my commitment to meaningful, purpose-driven translation.
I am open to working on fiction (poetry, theater, romance, historical, thriller, children's literature, etc.), memoirs, and non-fiction with a creative angle. I am especially drawn to stories that explore identity, place, or the human experience in all its complexity.
My passion for literature is longstanding, both as a reader and as a communicator. If you’re looking for a translator who values language as much as storytelling, I would be thrilled to collaborate on your work and help share it with a wider Spanish-speaking readership.
