Hello, I am a self-employed individual with a varied background and many interests. I started my professional adventure as an employee in the private sector, then I fell in love with translation and gave a boost to my career focusing mainly on the legal/financial field. While exhaustively covering much of the subject, I embarked on a degree in social sciences to have a better understanding of international political issues. Then, following the advice of a friend of mine, I started to read some books in English and French and I was fascinated by the challenges that these may pose to translation. I had a chance to attend a course to explore the translation of "romance" novels. I am quite disappointed by the fact that many admirable books/authors about romance are not translated into Italian. The market sells HarperCollins Collections but their quality is really debatable - and I know why. I also like essays about geopolitics and I think that it is a pity that some independent, non-mainstream sources are not available to the Italian public.
