Hello everyone,
I'm Maite R. Ochotorena, (born in San Sebastián, 1970), I trained as a screenwriter (film and TV), and I've been a 2D and 3D graphic artist for many years in the videogame sector ("Biomechanichal Toy" for Gaelco, for example).
However, my true passion was always to be a novelist of suspense and mystery. Inspired from my earliest childhood in classics such as Michael Ende ("Momo"), William H. Hudson ("Green Mansions"), Alexandre Dumas or Agatha Christie ("The Ten Negritos", "The Man in the Chestnut-Colored Suit"), Edgar Allan Poe or Stephen King, and author of numerous stories («Avenir, the future is already here», «The parasite», «The Four Boxes», «Virus», «The Hill», «Liv is recording live» ...), I started my career as an independent writer with "The Secret of the Belle Nuit", a fabulous thriller with an interesting historical background, set in revolutionary France.
My career continued with the outcome of La Belle Nuit, "La Sombra de Fourneau", and later I published "El Destino de Ana H. Murria" (set in my hometown, San Sebastian, during the postwar period). «Where Fear Inhabits» is my fourth work, my most recent bet, and perhaps the most risky, for treating metaphorically a subject as delicate as gender violence.
«The Messenger of the Forest» is my fifth novel, a work of mystery full of magic, with which I return the essence of my true "I" as author, bringing science fiction, mystery and fantasy to the reality of a Madrid current and unthinkable. As in my previous works, this work also underlies an important background message, to reflect.
In addition, I am a writer of stories of intrigue and suspense, some with a touch of black, black, black humor ... For lovers of this type of literature, I created a compilation, with "The Monster Is Within You," in paper and eBook, available on Amazon.
