I'm a young Brazilian fresh out of college, with a BSc in Biology and currently pursuing a MSc in Environmental Sciences.
I first started learning (American) English when I was only 5. I went on to live in the US for 2 years. When I moved back to Brazil, I kept practicing English at home every day, so I consider myself to be almost native. Recently, I've taken the TOEFL exam and scored 115 out of 120.
With French, it started a bit later, when I was 14 years old. I took on classes during most of High School, and then went on to study for a year in French-speaking Belgium. I ended up marrying a Belgian, so I get to practice everyday. I'm an avid reader an writer in all three languages, but while I prefer English for the more scientific stuff, French is definetely my favortite language when it come to poetry and philosophy.
I have over 2 years of experience translating scientific articles, letters and CVs - informally at first, working free of charge for friends and family for the last 5 years, but I've been working on a professional basis since mid-2014 - mostly as a freelancer. I have also been doing creative and academic writing in all three languages for a while now, and can tackle any subject you need - either in a formal/academic tone or a more informal/fun one.
Please, reach out if you need any information about me and my background.
