Hello,
My name is Lia de Azevedo and I am a PT-ES and ES-PT translator. Born in Canguçu, Brazil, at age six I moved with my family to Spain, where I lived for many years. There I was alphabetized, and had the opportunity to experience the Spanish culture first hand. This early contact with the Spanish language made it as much of a first language to me as Portuguese is.
I later came back to Brazil, where I studied Cinema and Audiovisual Arts at the Federal University of Pelotas. My love of languages eventually led me to become a translator, and it was a perfect fit. I am a very communicative and eloquent person, which allows me to translate the original message accurately and creatively, as if the text had originally been written in the target language.
Having always been an avid reader, I have a deep appreciation for literature. For this reason, I naturally specialized in literary translations, even though I also work with a variety of other areas.
