I have loved stories, languages, and books for as long as I can remember. My journey with reading began very early, around the age of four, when I started exploring the world through books in my native language, Brazilian Portuguese. A few years later, English naturally became part of my life. What started with cartoons soon grew into curiosity, then fascination, and eventually into a true passion for the language.
As I grew older, reading became one of the most important parts of my routine. Through books, comics, subtitles, movies, and different forms of storytelling, I realized how powerful language can be in connecting people, emotions, and cultures. That passion inspired me to dedicate several years to studying English in depth, expanding my vocabulary, refining my grammatical knowledge, and developing the skills that would later shape my career as a translator.
Today, I work as a Brazilian Portuguese native translator specializing in editorial translation and audiovisual localization (EN > PT-BR). What I enjoy most about translation is the opportunity to help stories travel across cultures while preserving their emotion, rhythm, and authenticity. I am especially passionate about fiction, particularly comics, romance, fantasy, and suspense, and I hope to contribute to bringing more meaningful and engaging stories to Brazilian readers like myself.
Along my professional journey, I have worked with translation, proofreading, subtitling, transcription, and MT post-editing (MTPE), gaining experience with audiovisual content, e-books, and business materials. I pay close attention to linguistic accuracy, cultural adaptation, and natural flow, always aiming to create translations that feel authentic to the target audience rather than simply translated.
Before transitioning into the language industry, I built a professional background of more than 10 years in Human Resources and Business Administration. This experience strengthened my communication skills, confidentiality, project coordination, and ability to manage deadlines effectively in remote environments. Academically, I hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, a postgraduate degree in Emotional Intelligence, and an MBA in Managing High-Performance Teams.
More than anything, I see translation as a bridge between people, cultures, and stories. Therefore, I remain committed to delivering accurate, engaging, and client-oriented translations that allow readers and audiences to experience stories naturally in their own language.
