I have a widely varied field of experience. I have spoken Spanglish and Spanish for over 30 years. I am formerly trained and have lived in Tijuana for 3 years where I teach ESL. I have written curriculum for Head Start Programs and curriculum for Preschools and Children's Church. I had 3 articles published in Business Professionals of America Magazine back in high school and am currently working on my own children's book series. I have over 18 years experience in the classroom and taught Spanish in my curriculum with preschoolers. I was a volunteer for Adult Right to Read Outreach Program for 4 yrs.
I believe the world of imagination and enlightenment through books are both instrumental and a necessity for children and adults alike. I believe that a language barrier should not keep anyone from the enjoyment of being swept away in a good book whether it be for leisure or for educational purposes. I look forward to this journey of sharing the power of the written word to anyone that has the desire to turn the first page.
