For me, translation happens in that wonderful moment where the written text fades away to reveal the message it is trying to convey. This message is what I then get to transfer to another language. In some cases, it’s as easy as 1-2-3, but most of the time, you need good instincts, a creative mindset and a deep understanding of the target language and culture.
This process of finding the true meaning of things and then reinventing them fills me with joy – and this joy is palpable in every text I write. In over 5 years of work experience, I was able to take that initial spark of pure interest and turn it into a burning passion. In addition, I learned to use various CAT tools and became familiar with the necessary everyday procedures.
