I was born on May 27th, in 1993, in Florencia - Caquetá. Florencia is a picturesque department and the golden door of the Amazon region in Colombia. I grew up in a pleasant neighborhood called Torasso which is located on a hill in Florencia and where I have lived my whole life. I live with my family, my mother, my step-father, my step-sister and my brother.
I went to an elementary school called Antonio Maria Torasso that is just a few blocks from home. Then, I studied in a high school also near home called Instituto Tecnico Industrial, where I graduated in Technical Drawing.
After that, I coursed my professional studies at the Amazonia University where I received my Bachelor's Degree in English. I struggled to obtain my degree since I worked all day as a salesman and storage assistance in a cellphone company and studied at night.
While working at the cellphone company, I used to translate legal documents for the company from English to Spanish.
On the other hand, my translation experience is very diverse, since while back at the university I translated different kinds of documents regarding Biology, Veterinary Medicine, Medicine, Arts, Law and Business Management from English to Spanish and vice versa.
Likewise, as a graduation project I wrote an article related to English teaching through music in English and I assessed many of my ex classmates in their writing processes as well.
Furthermore, I excelled at a local bilinguism project where the writing and translating expertise was indispensable for the class and test planning.
Moreover, I have worked independently translating projects containing diverse content and vocabulary.
Currently, I find myself working with the government as an English teacher, where writing and translating skills are needed in several aspects of the job.
