I've studied Spanish and English linguistics. I have learned English, German and French, mostly impulsed by my passion for communication. I keep on learning other languages as well. Translating and interpreting give me the chance to help others communicate, and as I am able to read some authors in their own language, in the very own words they had chosen to write, I feel the need to help others understand what they cannot read for themselves. What would have been of me if there wouldn't have been translators from Russia, so I could enjoy Tolstoy or Dostoievsky, for example?
I earn my living mainly as technical translator, but I've helped others communicate in so many ways: acting as interpreter for tourists, tutoring foreing students, translating TV series and movies... I have also worked as editor of financial reports or legal documents, web pages and books of amateur writers.
And now I would like to take a chance into literary translation; I'm an avid reader and I feel a passion for linguistic and literature. I'm interested in fantasy and science fiction, as well as in mistery and adventures.
