My name is Jenny Wemlert Tacchino. I am Swedish but for the last eleven years I have been living and working in Italy, allowing me to acquire a flawless Italian and an excellent vocabulary. Moreover I have been working for many years in the UK. My extended stay in England consolidated my excellent English skills which I have since perfected through university studies. My target language is thus Swedish (mother tongue) while my source languages are English and Italian. I am currently working on my third novel while contemporaneously translating short stories for the publisher Melker förlag (www.melkerforlag.se). I’m passionate about writing as well as about languages and in addition to English and Italian I speak German, French and Spanish. I have a degree of master of science in Natural Resources from the Agricultural University of Uppsala / Sweden. Although I have mainly been working in the environmental field I also have experience doing technical translations. Furthermore I have been working as an editor, writer and layout editor of the periodical “SWEA Bladet - Milano”.
