Jack Singer, born in Potchefstroom South Africa. He practiced as a pharmacist in South Africa from 1958 to 1985. He built a number of companies that included property development, construction and financial leasing.
He retired for the first time in 1985. After six months, he was approached by his stock brokers to write a daily investment newsletter. This was the start of a new career in which he became a Futures and Options trader with First Financial futures; Chartist in the research department of Irish Menell Rosenberg, stock brokers in South Africa; Editor and Owner of the Temkin and Moon newsletter on stock market investing; and finally Investment Adviser in Canada.
In addition to The Vase with the Many Coloured Marbles, he has written and published a book of short stories about South Africa called Brakenstroom and has compiled a third book, The Sensible Approach to Financial Freedom, a book on the budget system. Jack also writes weekly articles for Traders.com and every year, has an article published in Technical Analysis of Stocks and Commodities under the name Koos van der Merwe. He has taught classes on Technical Analysis and has lectured on day trading at the Las Vegas Investors conference.
