Biography:

My name is Isabel Barbosa, and I was born in 1981 in Portugal. I´m a professional translator graduated from Minho University on the year of 2005.

Since I was a young girl, I always had a great passion for foreign languages and I have ended up being chosen to enter the Foreign Languages course on that University. I have completed my graduation and started working in sales promotion. Getting a job in translation is not easy, so I worked during some good years as an in-store demonstrator and applied to work as an English teacher in my city in the year of 2009. I have taught English to children during the schoolyear of 2009-2010. That was indeed a funny experience, but my true calling is not teaching and I decided to look for work within the foreign languages field.

In November 2011, I was able to find my first translation task online and I have started working as a freelance translator. I´m still working online as a translator, both for agencies and direct clients.

I have decided to join Babel Cube to get recognition and more experience.
