Bilingual in English and French, have studied Chinese and German for several years

I am British, and was born in Belgium. I grew up in an English-speaking household but attended primary school in French, as a result of which I am equally fluent in both languages. I am currently in my third year of a BA Chinese undergraduate course, which has included a year abroad in Beijing. I also studied German for six years in secondary school, and am currently taking advanced German as an additional class at university. My mother is a professional translator at the European Commission, and I have frequently had the opportunity to observe her at work and receive advice from her.
