I am Ian D. Moore, unknown to just about everyone up until a few months ago. Then, I keyed my name into google and nothing came back. That was until I published my first book Salby Damned and set about sending it out into the big wide literary pond to either sink or swim.
Today, I key my name into google and my book comes up, a triumph in itself to me. As an indie author I jumped head first into a very deep pond with some very big fish in it. Now, I've been writing awhile but never published a work, so my first shot at this wasn't filled with a great deal of expectation however, having now sold just under a hundred copies in various formats, it appears that a small but dedicated fan base is emerging. Recent twitter adverts tell me that there is an audience in lands further afield than the UK and since my first book IS selling in english, I suspect that there could be an untapped well of sales worldwide, were it to be translated.
Writing for me has always been an escape from the relatively mundane life I lead outside of my imagination, it helps me to unwind and keeps the stress levels bearable. This first book was created as an answer to a request made my my younger sister, an avid zombie thriller reader and I might add, my best critic. I write mainly for pleasure, for my sister obviously and in the hope that anyone reading my work will take some pleasure from it and seek out the next book, when it is complete.
