My name is Giacomo Ludovico Bellomare, I was born in Palermo, Italy, in 1984.
I took a four-year degree in "Translation and Interpretation" at the Universidad Pablo de Olavide of Seville, Spain. I obtained this title after achieving another degree in "Foreign Languages and Italian L2" at the University of Palermo, Italy.
I also own the diploma “DELE Superior” (C2 of the Common European Framework, which certifies the level of proficiency in Spanish), a certificate from the British Institute of Palermo (which certifies the C2 level of proficiency in English), the diploma “DITALS ii” (which enables success participants to teach Italian as a second language) and I am duly registered at the Court of Palermo as an interpreter and translator for English and Spanish (being Italian my mother tongue).
I currently work as a freelance translator for several translation agencies (among the main final customers: Nuance, Symantec, BlackBerry, Integra, Maire Engineering, Amazon, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Ingersoll Rand, Codivien, Mettler Toledo, Thermo Scientific, Alphatec Spine, Thermo King, etc.); at the same time, I am attending the Official Master Degree course in “Institutional Translation (law and economics)” (Universidad de Alicante, Spain).

Author review: Translator Giacomo Ludovico Bellomare and editor Angela Federica Ruspini have done a very good job with my novel. They have both shown independence, seriousness and attention to detail. As a translator myself, I am happy with the result and also with the process, which has improved the source text and made me a better writer. An enriching experience, which I definitely recommend. |
