My current literary focus is Chinese (Mandarin) non-fiction and fiction. I am a polyglot and rotate my working languages periodically, having previously worked from Italian, German, Swedish, Arabic, Russian, Dutch, French, and Swahili.
I have been translating, editing, and proofreading a wide variety of non-fiction and fiction materials into English since 2007, and have also completed a full academic pathway past PhD-level covering all aspects of translation, creative writing, formal and vernacular language in use, dialectology, grammatical analysis, language technology, linguistic forensics, psychology of language, and much more. I am comfortable fulfilling any linguistic duties as needed, including narration, consultation, and sight translation.
My favorite fiction genres to translate are horror, sports, comedy, adventure, and sci-fi. My experience translating non-fiction includes academic works as well as popular science, and for both of these I have covered an extensive and diverse list of topics.
