Francesca Salvatore is teaching assistant in “Us history” and “International Relations” at Salento University, Lecce, Italy and she coordinated the Laboratory of USA History on Primary Historical Sources in the same University.
The candidate is member of SISI (Italian Society of International History) and CeSRAM (Study Center for Atlantic-Mediterranean Relations); she is also the publication manager of “Eunomia”, the journal of Political Science and International Relations of University of Salento.
She contributes to UniSalento Webtv with interviews and reportages about Ph.D. students.
Currently she is member of the coordination group in the project “100 years ago…the Great war”.
She is also a blogger and contributes to Italian and foreign online magazines.

Francesca Salvatore is a Ph.D. in International Relations at Salento University (Lecce, Italy) with a research titled “Friends, not allies”. The relations between United States and India during Kennedy administration. Birth, evolution and crisis of containment in the Indian subcontinent (1961-1963). For this reason, she spent a research period at Kew Gardens Archives (London), at NARA (National Archives and Records Administration) in Washington DC and at India National Archives in New Delhi.

The candidate attended a journalism academy focused on visual and data journalism. This academy is a project by Italian newspaper “La Stampa” and Google Italia for young reporters. The classes has been attended online and at Turin University.
