I graduated in English and Portuguese Languages and Literatures and worked as an English teacher fo a couple of years. For being a Literature lover, I decided to research the translation of some good Brazilian books into English. My dissertation title is AN ANALYSIS OF THE TRANSLATION OF CULTURAL MARKERS IN SERGEANT GETULIO AND THE LIZARD’S SMILE, BASED ON CORPUS LINGUISTIC, and my thesis title is AN ANALYSIS OF THE TRANSLATION OF WORDS EXPRESSING CRIME AND VIOLENCE IN THREE BOOKS OF PATRÍCIA MELO. In 2014 I concluded my PhD. For the last three years, I’ve been working with translation and review of different kinds of texts, specially academic and technical.
