I won't ry to convince you I'm a professional translator... I hope I wouldn't have registered here if I was!
nonethelles, I do have some translation background: after high school I spent some months translating machine tool's user manuals at a little translation agency and later, when I got my university degree in law, I got a jos at the Court of Justice of the European Union, in the Translation Division. I translated Court's decisions from English, Spanish and French into Italian.
Unfortunately it wasn't a permanent employment so I moved on - I lived in Switzerland and in France, I studied journalism and currently I work for an Italian publishing company but foreing languages have always been one of my greatest passions.
When I was a kid I loved English rock bands, of course, but I had my own way of listening to them. I copied tapes from firend and looked up for lyrics in music magazines (we hadn't internte back then!) and I spent my afternoons singing along and translating them in my room. I know it may sound kind of sad but I did have fun this way. That's why I was delighted when I found out about Babelcube. This is what I always loved to do and I hope you'll give me a chance!
