First time i translated a document was several years back, when i was working at a botanic garden in Sweden. There i was asked to translate from Greek to English some magazines of agricultural and environmental interest. I still remember how excited i was. Apparently i did good job because they wanted me to continue doing it. Ever since i do translations not necessarily professionaly, but simply because i love it. So, while i'm reading a book, i may stop, take a pen and a paper and start translating some paragraphs or even pages, in the best possible way. Then i give it to someone, friend or family member, to read it and comment on it. It is funny, and those who are involved to the "review" stage think i'm crazy but they enjoy it as well. So why not? Actually this love to translation lead me to do my MSc on translation. The wisest thing i did in my life! I'm about to finish it now, and i learned a lot through it, most importantly using the CAT. Having studied Agriculture (Bachelor) and Ecology (MSc), and worked in Botanic Gardens, Aviation and Hospitality industry, also volunteering in the Hellenic Red Cross therefore familiar with medicinal issues, and doing sailing if not swimming, i think i could fit in in any sort of text, as long as it is not legal or even worse financial. :)
