Outstanding and motivated French/English/Spanish translator available

Hello, 

My name is Diane. I am a 32-year-old French woman who just came back from 5 years of travelling around South, Central and North America. I want to put all the knowledge I acquired during my travels -but also before that- into translating exciting books from all over the world and help the reader's community (and myself too if that’s possible!)!

I learned English at a very young age, spending time in the USA every summer and speaking on a daily basis with my mom: she's my hero! I then graduated high school specialising in Economics and English, while obtaining high scores at my TOEFL (109/120) and my Advanced Cambridge Certificate.

I then studied in a prestigious French business school (ESSEC), where I had most of my classes in English, and of course I kept on travelling during these years. I also did an exchange program for 1 year in Spain, that’s when my passion for English turned into a passion for languages. After graduating I worked for Nielsen, doing market research and analysis for prestigious clients such as Nestlé and Coca-Cola. Many of the presentations I delivered were in English, and I would also help out my fellow colleagues with their translations when needed.

For the past five years, I’ve dedicated myself to traveling and learning new languages: I am now fully trilingual in French, English and Spanish, and I am learning Italian and Russian. While I was abroad, I also gave English classes to needy kids in Colombia, and I was a Spanish-to-English translator on a tour to a lost city (5-day trekking). Being back in France after 5 years, I want to capitalize on that knowledge and eventually become a full-time translator.

Last but not least, I am a literature enthusiast; having spent most of my childhood reading novels. I even tried to write one at some point but that project is on hold for now. My favourite authors are: Boris Vian, Albert Camus, William Faulkner, Christopher Moore, Carlos Castaneda…to name only a few!
