I was born in Venezuela and lived there for 23 years. I study proper English for about 4 months where I learnt the basics of it and then all the English I know was self taught. Before deciding to move to Colombia I was studying Civil engineering wich I couldn't finish. I worked in a coffee shop; cookie shop and lastly in a bakery as a cake decorator.
My translating journey began 3+ years ago when I got to Santa Marta.
I started working in the tourism business for the Lost City tours. It was translating in real time. So, the tour guide would speak in Spanish and then I would repit the whole thing in English since most of the visitors are foreigners and understand English better. I did that till before the quarantine started here in Colombia. Once that was over I did some translations and subtitulation of videos for a plastic surgery conference happening on line.
