I have been a translator for over 20 years and an eager reader for over 40 years.
BA in English Philology and specialized in translation through General Translation and Subtitling and Dubbing courses. My first collaboration as a translator, with Microtextos, produced four books: Phil Cornes: Step-by-Step Programming Commodore 64 (books I and II); Roy Atherton: Good Programming with QL SuperBASIC; and Tom Logsdon: The Robots Revolution. All of them published by Microtextos S.A. in Madrid, in 1984 and 1985.
After a couple of years teaching English, I started to work with agencies and language services providers specialized in technical translation, which have been providing me work and increasing my translation skills during all these years. Now I would like to take advantage of the resources that Babelcube offers for putting my skills and experience to work on literary translation.
I am mainly offering translation of English into Spanish, but I can also edit and proofread translations from other languages into Spanish, specially German.

Author review: Consuelo Mallado was meticulous not only with the Spanish words, but the history that was necessary to make my book credible. Her knowledge of the Spanish and English translation/language helped move this book forward and I am very grateful for her efficiency and questions to lead us in the right direction. I applaud her hard work and consistency to make this translation so wonderful. |
