Quality most of all

I'm a 41 year old translator from Lisbon. I have major in linguistics and portuguese studies and also a master degree at text studies. I think that even if you're a native speaker linguistic knowlege is an important tool to translate with quality  into a such complexe language like Portuguese. Some of the Portuguese translations have serious linguistic errors. The translator must have the skills to convey to the reader the meanings the author wants to transmit.
