As a young girl I always had my nose in a book, and my passion for foreign literature eventually led me on the path to become a translator, as I felt like my calling was to be able to make the words and worlds of authors all over the world accessible to people of my mothertongue. Finally, last month I got my Master's degree in Translation and Interpreting, after translating five fantasy short stories from German into Italian for my final dissertation. During my university career I've learned a lot about what it truly means to translate, how it's not just about about words or sentences, but an entire structure of thoughts, ideas and cultural elements that need to be transported elsewhere, changed, of course, but without losing their essence.
I look forward to working with authors, and give their books a new form that keeps intact their original vision, while creating the best possible version that is able to relate to the new audience.
