I have an university degree in Journalism, and have taken several university courses focused on developing and enhancing my writing skills. I also recently completed a course on Style Correction in Spanish offered by the UAB (University of Barcelona) which focused mainly on the necessity for the translator to adapt the original text and avoid too literal, machine-like translations that don't render adequately the author's voice. My own creative writing so far has been circumscribed to short fiction and I'm an avid reader of literary fiction, particularly interested in the Science Fiction, Fantasy and Mystery genres.
