I've always been an avid reader. I started reading in Portuguese, my first language. Then, as a teenager, some of the books I wanted to read weren't available in Portuguese. I took a step forward and started reading in English as well. It opened a whole new world form me. I know this is not possible for everyone, so I want to open the door for them.
Somewhere along the way, I fell in love with the beauty of language. We don't always notice it, but the right word can change everything. A comma in the right place can give a sentence an entirely different meaning. These details bring the story to life, and it comes out of the page to touch the reader. It's fascinating.
I don't have much experience translating. The only work I've ever done was the translation of a Chemistry student's thesis. However, I'm a native Portuguese speaker, and I'm fluent in English. I love reading, and I understand the mechanics of writing and storytelling. I take great pride in always giving my best and doing a great job at everything I do.
