French by birth, I have now lived in the UK for over 25 years. I have taught French, from GCSE and A levels up to university, and ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) to foreign students and UK residents whose first language is not English
I have translated historical documents for an author's project on the holocaust (from French to English); I have also translated a documentary film script on the internment of LGBT people during the second world war in Italy (from English to French.)
I have a wide range of interests - from arts to crafts, history, spirituality and esotericism, to food (both cooking it and eating, it, or even growing it!) and can always get deeply enthused for new topics...
I am very reliable, hardworking and meticulous.

Author review: Bernadette is without doubt one of the very best translators I have worked with. Very accurate and with a knack of getting just the right turn of phrase that conveys the original exactly. It was a privilege to work with her. I recommend her highly and hope she will work on more of my books in the future. |
