After an MA in translation, I would like to use my professional competences and personal skills of self-organisation, attention to detail, flexibility, natural curiosity.

I am a native French translator. Different studies in France in which my abilities to translate shone, and diverse professional experiences using the English language, led me to finally settle towards the translation profession itself. This is compatible with a family life and allows me to use my natural curiosity and interest for almost everything, from science to litterature, films and history, politics, spirituality, etc. and my taste for problem-solving with words through the research needed in complex and new translations or new fields of knowledge.

I have always been attracted by the correctness of the French language and can't help noticing typos and diverse errors, hence my proofreading skills.

I passed my Master with Merit. My final project with the Open University was an extended translation (more than 6,000 words) and commentary. I chose a chapter of a first-person non-fiction narrative about ecology: Wilding by Isabella Tree. I have really enjoyed this experience. During my studies, I have translated other types of texts, fiction and non-fiction, from recipes to scientific and political news reports, subtitles of documentaries. I have learnt to use CAT tools as well. 

I have just started my professional career working as a linguist for various companies on different projects, particulartly the translation of subtitles and machine translation post-editing. Between projects, I am doing pro bono translations and revisions for Translators Without Borders (diverse charities and NGOs), TED Translators and Babelcube.
